Enjoying the views from inside and out

We watched the cows next door while we ate dinner in the kitchen. After dinner sat outside on the back deck off the kitchen and watched a menagerie of animals from wild turkeys to cows, box turtle, all kinds of birds, groundhog passing by - it's an active evening. The best part of living here is being able to enjoy nature from the views inside and outside the house.

Favorite room in the house in summer

What's better than having breakfast looking outside and seeing green everywhere, watching the birds feeding on the feeders, while the sun streams in and light surrounds you. The kitchen is where we "hang out" with our friends, chatting, cooking, eating, and drinking. With a deck off the sliding glass door there is space outside to barbecue and entertain right off the kitchen. The kitchen is large enough to eat in, have an island with a cook top, and still have plenty of space to get around. There is a low desk like counter where "command center" is stationed - computers, paperwork, bills paid all from the work/desk counter top which accommodates two. The kitchen is definitely the nucleus of the home.

Porch Life

We live on our porch...it is a great place to sit and appreciate the beauty around us. We have a table and chairs on the porch and six seats where we sit many a night with our neighbors, having a drink, chatting, and enjoying the view. At night we light the torches and just there on the porch listening to the water in the creek/stream. Last night we went out and looked at the stars. In the morning, we always take time especially on the weekends to sit on the porch and just "be" with all the beauty around us.

Our neighbors are noisy! Just kidding....but truly these are the neighbor's cows at our fence line and they are very friendly.
